Fiestas de Mayo in Santa Cruz
The Fiestas of Santa Cruz will schedule until May 30th, several leisure activities for all ages in different neighborhoods of the capital city. The program includes the 23th edition of the Regional Exhibition of Flowers and Plants, the 'Baile de Magos' (traditional folk open air dance) on May 2nd, concerts, puppet shows, circus, crafts exhibitions and folklore, as well as a Grand Commemorative Event to celebrate the 150 years of the title of 'City' to Santa Cruz Tenerife, on May 30th in Plaza de la Candelaria.
The decoration of the city will be conducted by Oscar Benitez. The city will be decorated with more than 10,000 paper flowers of silk. The religious events program features the Exhibition of crosses, the mass and procession of San Telmo and La Virgen del Buen Viaje and the Solemn Pontifical concelebrated by the Bishop of the Nivariense Diocese with the priests of different Archpriestships. The program of the Festival of May is dedicated to the 'Chapels of Santa Cruz.
